Y passing pattern

Y passing pattern: the set-up from above

How it works

Cones in a Y: a start cone, a middle cone and two wide cones. Pass up to the middle, get it set back, then play wide. Rotate: the passer moves to the middle cone, the middle player spins out to the wide cone, and the wide player dribbles back to the start. Alternate left and right. Each setup needs at least one more player than cones; with more players, add a second setup so lines stay short.

Make it easier

Two touches, shorter distances

Make it harder

One touch; add a wall pass

Less planning. More coaching.
